I don't believe in tangible reasons,
so I folded my flag,
and head on the road in favor
of the mystic side of the unconscious world.
I'm going with no reasons...

- HI EVERYONE!
I haven't posted news for a while - half a year has past. Lots of things have happened during that six months. I now have my own company My Graphic Friend www.MyGraphicFriend.com We're doing graphic and web design. Business is exciting! Check out Our Company Blog at http://MyGraphicFriend.blogspot.com to see what we are up to.

- I've moved to downtown, and stay right in the Queen West art district of Toronto. The location is great for my art activities as well as business activities.
|
- I'm going to visit my sister in Duluth, MN for X'mas. That's it for now, folks. I'll write more soon. Actually I'll build a blog for this website too, I'll let you know.

- Hi everybody! I again couldn't keep my promise on the blog. Been busy to keep ends meet. I'm now spending most of my time for the next two months to hone my skills in web design and graphic design. Been working in these two categories freelance on Elance.com and got very good feedback and ratings from my clients. I have a good eye for colors too.
|
- I'm looking forward to developing my freelancing design business here in Toronto, especially doing postcards, brochures, catalogues, and maintaining websites for galleries, and artist-run centers.
So if you have a freelance job for me, give me a call: 416-624-7781.

- I'm currently doing research on Andy Warhol and Roberto Rosellini. The Rossellini one is just started with four films that I've seen at Cinematheque: Stromboli, Europa'51, Voyage in Italy, and the Germany Year Zero - just this evening. It seems to me that, at the moment, the Andy Warhol's is more exciting than the Rossellini's, and I wonder why. I will talk more on that later, when I get a deeper view of the whole thing and of what's inside my head.
|
- For those who are curious about my experience with the 8-hour Empire, here is the text that I wrote down during the screening of the film at Cinematheque Ontario.
|
- I haven't found the time to build Artyststudio.com yet so I have to use this Recent News board to post some parts of my recent research. Hopefully I will be able to build the new site in January, when I take a month off work.

- Yesterday I went to Cinematheque Ontario to see Warhol's Empire. It was an 8-hour and 5-minute film, with a static shot of the Empire State Building. The experience was truly great. I had had no idea of what my take on the film would be before I came into the theater. I just went into it bare like that. And through the long 8 hours, the experience slowly formed itself. I have scrabbled some notes in the dark during the screening.

- Making this website is sometimes just unbearable to me. The technical issues are of course difficult. But the emotion is the hardest. Going through each piece that I made is like wearing the whole emotion that I had buried into that particular piece again.
|
- After this site, I will manage to build another site called Artyststudio.com. It is my online studio where I do experiments, share new ideas, and poems... It is under construction so don't check it out yet. I'll let you know when it is ready.
